Interior Design Program

The Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree programs in Interior Design offered at IADT - Seattle are designed to prepare students for a creative and fulfilling career as professional Interior Designers. With a degree in Interior Design from IADT Seattle, you can help others enhance the function and quality of their interior spaces while maintaining the architectural integrity of the structure. You will have the opportunity to examine how interiors designed with innovative ideas can influence the human reaction to a space. Our class sizes are small so you can get the most from your courses. The limited class sizes in our Interior Design Program encourage the development of solid interior design skills and an understanding of the fundamentals.

The fundamentals discussed in the program are:

• The Study of Space
• Human Factors in Design
• Lighting
• Building Systems and Building Codes
• Detailing
• Residential and Commercial Design

Students who graduate with an Interior Design Degree can benefit from the hands-on experience with form, space, texture, and color they’ve received at IADT Seattle. The interior design skills students develop can transmit their dynamic ideas into reality. Our Interior Design program is designed to provide a balance between theory and practice, so our graduates should possess the skills they need to enter the professional world of Interior Design.
